No school dress code essay

The problem, for me and many other people, is that dress codes often do not exist for men , especially in schools. The majority of the dress codes out there are for young women and young women only. They exist because schools want to make sure boys don’t get distracted. It’s twisted: girls can’t wear something because boys might not be able to pay attention on their work. In other words, it is the girl’s fault if a boy does something stupid because he can’t stop staring at her. Instead of teaching boys to stop focusing and sexualizing women’s bodies, we’re teaching women to stop doing things so that boys don’t do that. It’s not fair, it’s not right, and it’s completely sexist.

I don’t know about Jewish philosophy in regards to political science, but up until the American Revolution, all of Christian philosophy seems to have been strongly supportive of monarchy, not republics. The worldly kings were thought to be a reflection of the god kings, and even to this day, Jesus is referred to as the Lord, and I have been told by many self proclaimed Christians that “someday” this Lord will reappear and every knee shall bend to him, obviously a monarchist reference. Fortunately we Americans live in a secular republic with no foreign lords or kings.

“Dickson County High School is proud to build good relationships with students, parents, and our community,” the statement reads. “We have a great school and we strive every day to keep it that way. The purpose of our dress code is to assure students will dress and groom in a clean, neat, and modest manner in order not to distract or interfere with the educational environment of the school. For the most part, 99 percent of our students have come to school within our dress code guidelines. As a reminder, we have communicated with students, parents, and community our dress code expectations for this school year.”
