There are many free writing resources on writing an essay as well as related writing topics that are the building blocks of essays, such as sentence writing and writing paragraphs . Specific topics include dialogues in narrative essays, sentence fluency and variety, and the ubiquitous compare and contrast essay. The articles provide information and guidance, while the activities encourage students to practice their skills using video lessons, standardized test prep materials, printable worksheets and quizzes, and interactive games. For more in-depth practice, a selection of eight-week essay writing courses are available for students in elementary, middle, and high school.
Admission Requirements are for the 2017-2018 year only, and are based on the Ontario High School System. Holding the minimum admission requirements only establishes eligibility for consideration. The cut-off averages for admission may be considerably higher than the minimum. See also the General Admission and Procedures section of this Calendar. An overall average of at least 70% is normally required to be considered for admission. Some programs may also require specific course prerequisites and prerequisite averages and/or supplementary admission portfolios. Higher averages are required for admission to programs for which the demand for places by qualified applicants exceeds the number of places available. CSE 586 Introduction to Synthetic Biology (3)
Studies mathematical modeling of transcription, translation, regulation, and metabolism in cell; computer aided design methods for synthetic biology; implementation of information processing, Boolean logic and feedback control laws with genetic regulatory networks; modularity, impedance matching and isolation in biochemical circuits; and parameter estimation methods.
